A little about yourself, where you are from, and what you do. What are you studying?
I am currently at The New School for their dual degree program. I attend Parsons for Design and Technology and am undecided for my major at Eugene Lang. Art is a way of survival for me, which is why I am working on basing my career around it. I paint and sell art and am currently working on painting jean jackets for a fashion show associated with Columbia University.
Has your background played any role in your current artistic expression?
Yes, I was born deaf, and use a lot of the experiences I have from this to fuel my art.
What aspects, growing up, affected you the most in terms of how you express yourself now.
I come from an extremely conservative/narrow-minded area, which forced my personality into a shell for a few years. Now that I am located in New York City; I am able to be completely myself.

What is the oddest thing you find inspiration in?
I find myself analyzing the way light hits one’s face at random times throughout the day, which inspires my art.
Did any specific artist influence your style of work?
Pablo Picasso, but what artist hasn’t been inspired by him
How would you describe your personal style? What’s the oldest piece of clothing you own?
I would say I dress like a little boy, and I am trying to actively change that. The oldest piece of clothing I own is my Hard Rock Cafe shirt my Dad gave me.
